Japan: Toyota, Panasonic and Aeon get credit for green credentials

Consumers in Japan rate Toyota and the most effective company in terms of green action, with Panasonic and Aeon in a distant second and third place.

The consumer research polled over a thousand consumers and asked them to name three companies that they believed delivered real action on green issues. Toyota was mentioned by 24 percent, with Panasonic at 8 percent and Japanese retailer Aeon at 7 percent. Toyota achieved its high profile as a result of its focus on improving the product, as well as their style of communications.

The research was carried out by MM Research Institute.
